“The world we have created is a product of our thinking; it cannot be changed without changing our thinking. If we want to change the world we have to change our thinking...no problem can be solved from the same consciousness that created it. We must learn to see the world anew.”
- Albert Einstein
Today, we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a symbol of courage, love, and community. At the same time, we face the inauguration of a leader whose rhetoric promotes fear, division, and self-interest. This juxtaposition invites deep reflection on the state of our country and the power we hold as individuals and as a collective.
The Power of Intention
A funny thing happened to me this morning as I went to watch the morning news. I aleepily pressed the remote choosing the NBC channel but instead of news I was seeing a Kundilini class. I checked the channel three times and each time I pressed the button it tuned into Kundilini. I was reminded that I needed to choose more intentionally or in this case, I was being directly guided to choose different.
A direct reminder that it’s crucial to choose where we focus our attention and energy. This doesn’t mean ignoring hardships but being intentional about the information we consume, the people we connect with, and the activities we prioritize. Overwhelm is natural when faced with events that seem beyond our control. Yet, these moments remind us of the profound importance of community and connection.
Research suggests that if 1% of the population shifts to a compassionate and loving consciousness, this energy can influence the collective. Will you choose to be part of this transformative 1%? Or align with the 1% driven by greed and insecurity? The choice is yours.
Ask Yourself:
Who am I truly connecting with, and how?
Are my relationships primarily occurring through texts and social media?
Am I more invested in the lives of people on screen than in my neighborhood?
Community and Self-Reliance
Recent disasters have shown us the power of local communities. In California, while firefighters heroically battled the flames, much of the immediate aid came from individuals—friends, neighbors, and strangers banding together. This highlights an important truth: systemic institutions often falter in moments of crisis, but our personal and community networks can rise to the occasion.
The challenges of rebuilding after natural disasters highlight the limitations of relying solely on institutions. Insurance structures often fail, just as health insurance systems have proven inadequate for many. This underscores the importance of cultivating strong, local communities that prioritize mutual aid and shared resources. When we invest in our neighborhoods, we create a safety net that government and larger systems often cannot provide. Yes. This may mean getting uncomfortable and putting in the leg work to stop using Amazon for your every need. It may mean finding new ways to connect outside social media.
It’s a sobering realization that “Superman isn’t coming.” This awareness calls us to step into our own power. Discernment—the ability to make clear, thoughtful decisions—is a superpower. It enables us to align with our values and take meaningful action. Intuition, or knowing without reason, deepens our self-trust and connection to inner wisdom. These skills are essential for navigating the future.
Practical Tools to Cultivate Discernment and Connection:
Daily Mindfulness Practice: Begin each day with a few minutes of mindfulness or meditation. This helps you tune into your inner wisdom and make grounded, intuitive decisions.
Audit Your Influences: Evaluate where you get your information and how you spend your time. Are these sources uplifting and aligned with your values?
Foster Local Connections: Make an effort to connect with your community. Attend local events, volunteer, or simply have a conversation with a neighbor. Strong communities start with small, intentional actions.
Embracing Intuition and Magic
In these transformative times, many are turning to practices like witchcraft and intuition. These are not forms of escapism but tools for empowerment and connection. At its core, witchcraft is about working in harmony with the earth and its elements. It reminds us that the earth is a living, conscious entity and that through this connection, we can foster healing and abundance. We begin to recognize the power inherent in everyday rituals. Lighting a candle with intention, setting affirmations, or working with herbs are all accessible ways to connect with the magic around us. These practices ground us in the present moment and remind us of our ability to influence our reality.
Developing intuition sharpens our discernment, enabling us to sit with advice and choose what resonates. By expanding our consciousness, we deepen our connections—not only with others but also with the earth and galactic energies that guide and heal us.
Beyond earthly connections, there is a growing awareness of galactic energies and their role in our evolution. These energies, often accessed through meditation or channeling, can provide profound healing and insights. They remind us that we are part of a vast, interconnected universe and that our potential for growth and transformation is limitless.
As we expand our consciousness, we unlock access to multidimensional experiences—vivid dreams, synchronicities, and an innate sense of knowing. Trusting and exploring these experiences can lead to profound personal and collective breakthroughs. Expanded consciousness surpasses the capabilities of AI or any man-made technology. Through developing our inner awareness, we come to realize the boundless potential and access we inherently possess. This, in many ways, poses a significant challenge to Big Tech. Just as alchemists once sought to replicate the power of the witch, artificial chemistry cannot replace the energetic, creative capabilities of a soul deeply connected to conscious energy.
The Call to Action
Change is inevitable, and the months ahead will undoubtedly bring more. Change can be uncomfortable, especially when it’s not of our choosing. But it challenges us to grow, evaluate what truly matters, and lean into our strengths. This is the time to release passivity and step into action.
The world we’re moving into requires expansiveness, collaboration, and a commitment to inner work. It calls us to move beyond superficial distractions and invest in our power, intuition, and magic. These are not just inherent gifts; they are skills to be developed and nurtured.
The decision is yours: Will you give your time to empty promises and distractions, or will you take bold steps to grow, connect, and create a thriving future? I am hoping you step forward with intention, discernment, and love.
